Many people come to work for us after we have helped them with their own personal tragedy. We become a part of their family in a way, so they might take a job helping out on removals, doing hair, or working in the office.

One hairdresser who came to work for us this way said she had never seen a dead body before her son’s funeral, but she was confident she could handle it.

Her first day on the job, she ran out of the room, saying “I can’t do this.” I understood…or so I thought.

Turns out the man’s hair she was to cut was the man who had killed her son.
